Special Education Services Pathways

CEC works with districts to design a clear and coherent continuum of services and placement options that reflect the least restrictive environment and inclusive practices. Through a collaborative multi month process, leaders examine structures, roles, and expectations for decision making across settings. The final product is a comprehensive pathway that supports consistent communication and effective implementation.

Inclusion Leadership and Co-Teaching for Leadership

CEC partners with school and district leaders to strengthen inclusive service delivery and build high quality co-teaching systems. Leaders learn how to design expectations, create structures, and support teams through clear feedback, observation tools, and accountability systems. This service helps leaders cultivate strong, sustainable inclusive practices across classrooms and buildings.

Teacher Professional Development on HQIP

Our HQIP professional learning builds teachers capacity to design rigorous, accessible instruction aligned to student needs. Educators learn research based strategies for differentiation, scaffolding, data informed decision making, and effective lesson design. This service promotes consistent instructional practices across classrooms and supports strong outcomes for all learners.

Co-Teaching Pairs Training and Skill Building

CEC supports co-teaching teams, whether new or experienced, in developing shared instructional practices that improve access to grade level learning. Training focuses on establishing collaborative norms, understanding co-teaching models, adapting instruction for learner variability, and strengthening joint planning routines. Teams leave with clarity, confidence, and practical strategies they can put in place immediately.

Paraprofessional Training and Skill Building

CEC provides paraprofessional training that strengthens the essential support staff offer in inclusive classrooms. Participants learn practical strategies for reinforcing instruction, implementing accommodations, supporting behavior, fostering student independence, and collaborating with teachers. This training builds confidence and clarity in the paraprofessional role while improving student support.

All Staff Foundational Understanding of Inclusion and Special Education

CEC offers full faculty learning experiences that build shared understanding of inclusive practices, disability eligibility, MTSS, and the purposes of special education. Staff develop a clearer sense of roles, responsibilities, and processes involved in supporting students before considering more restrictive placements. This work builds unity and strengthens whole school ownership of student success.

IEP Goal Writing and Progress Monitoring

CEC supports educators in strengthening the quality, clarity, and compliance of IEPs through improved goal development and progress monitoring systems. Teams learn how to choose accommodations, write standards aligned goals that reflect disability related needs, and create strong monitoring tools. This service builds consistency across case managers and helps improve outcomes for students.

Leadership Coaching

CEC provides individualized coaching for building and district leaders responsible for special education and inclusion. Leaders receive support in systems design, inclusive scheduling, staff development, instructional leadership, and complex decision making. This coaching builds long term leadership capacity and supports the successful implementation of inclusive practices.

Experienced Co-Teaching Pairs Advanced Skill Development

For teams with at least one year of collaboration, CEC offers specialized training designed to refine and deepen shared instructional practices. This service emphasizes planning strategies, differentiated supports, and instructional adaptations that increase inclusivity and student success. Experienced pairs strengthen their collaborative decision making and move toward more advanced implementation.

Co-Teaching Observation and Implementation Coaching

CEC provides observation based coaching to help co-teaching teams reflect on current practice and strengthen implementation. Consultants conduct brief classroom visits followed by structured debrief conversations that highlight strengths, identify growth areas, and offer actionable recommendations. This support accelerates skill development, especially for newer teams.

Advanced IEP Goal Writing and IEP Management

For teams ready for a deeper level of learning, CEC offers advanced training on complex components of IEP development and management. Educators study the details of standards aligned goals, the selection of accommodations, and the practices that ensure access to core curriculum. This service builds confidence for case managers navigating more nuanced IEP decisions.

Data Based Individualization for MTSS or IEPs

CEC helps districts strengthen intervention systems by developing educators capacity to use Data Based Individualization. Teams learn to select and adjust interventions, collect meaningful data, analyze progress, and make informed instructional decisions.
