Elise Zhao

Board Member

Elise Zhao supports the program-related and mission-related investment portfolios as the impact investing officer for Lumina Foundation, an independent, private foundation in Indianapolis that is committed to making opportunities for learning beyond high school available to all. Before joining Lumina, Elise worked as a consultant for clients across the healthcare and education sectors. She has been involved in the Chicago education and workforce ecosystems since 2018, from the To&Through Project as a Research Analyst, to most recently, Cara Collective, where she serves as an Associate Board Member.

She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago in Economics and Music and her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
