This we know is true:

Educators navigate the difficult conditions in schools because they ultimately want to positively impact the trajectory of a child. The current school organizational system needs to be freed to allow for these dedicated professionals to make it happen.

Now is the time.

Today’s sudden and dramatic change in our educational institutions have to radically alter who and how we operate in schools. It is time for fundamental, future-oriented change.

Let us partner with you to reimagine a better new normal.

You are in control of your school context. You have the power to shape the improvement you imagine.

CEC challenges the status quo by being a forward thinking, proactive, and innovative partner in preparing learners for successful futures.

We are collectively changed by today’s experiences. Now is the time to make the necessary system change through collective responsibility and empowering one another in our work to support the whole child.

Together we build capacity to imagine what is possible.

Charles Sumner Math & Science Community Academy: One Team, One Goal

Charles Sumner Math & Science Community Academy: One Team, One Goal

CEC partners with teachers and school leaders to develop and implement effective writing instruction, a key driver for early literacy development and improved student writing proficiency. To ensure sustainability, CEC provides tailored school-based support, addressing initial implementation challenges and integrating writing as a core component of the K-3 literacy block. Through professional development and coaching, CEC strengthens teachers’ expertise in a robust Tier 1 literacy framework, emphasizing writing instruction. These efforts have resulted in more students achieving growth targets and grade-level proficiencies compared to the previous year, along with teachers’ enhanced understanding and implementation of a comprehensive ELA program.

Berwyn South School District 100: Transforming Student Outcomes

Berwyn South School District 100: Transforming Student Outcomes

Berwyn South District partnered with CEC in 2021 to foster systemic growth through System Commitment and System Alignment. With strong leadership from Superintendent, Dr. Mary Havis, and Assistant Superintendent, Bea Maldonado, the district built Empowered Teams, focusing on collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement. Personalized coaching and support helped the district see significant growth, with schools showing high student progress.

Now, Berwyn South is transitioning to shorter 6-8 week improvement cycles, confident in their ability to drive sustained success through strong leadership and teamwork. Their journey highlights how strategic planning and collaboration can lead to meaningful change and growth.
