Assessment design is a complex thinking process needed by all educators. Yet it is not typically a part of pre-service education.
CEC provides training on a six-step process for designing standards-based, high-quality assessments aligned to the instructed targets or standards. The purpose of such training is to clarify what it means to have a “common” assessment that is standards-based, improve inter-rater reliability in assessment scoring and feedback, and allow students and teachers to make adjustments to accelerate growth and proficiency.
